VOLUNTEER WITH VIPP

HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

If you would like to know more about how you can volunteer based on your time availability, please fill out the Volunteer Questionnaire below.

Once we receive your completed questionnaire, a volunteer coordinator from the cat or dog program will get in touch with you and may ask for more information. None of this questionnaire will be shared outside of VIPP.

NOTE: The minimum age for volunteering is 16+. In order for a minor under the age of 18 to volunteer with VIPP, a parent or legal guardian must complete and sign a Minor Volunteer Consent and Release Form

All VIPP volunteers in contact with the public and other volunteers need to show proof of COVID vaccinations. If you are unvaccinated, please let us know and we will see if there is another area where we can use your help.

Fill out the questionnaire and someone will get back to you soon. Thank you!

VIPP is always looking for more volunteer support, as we are an all-volunteer organization! There are many ways to get involved and support the work that we do.

  • Cat Shelter Shift - Shelter shifts require about 3 hours of time and including feeding, medicating in some cases, cat box cleaning, TLC, record keeping and light cleaning. Most people team up with another volunteer to do these shifts but it is not required. To talk to someone email: volunteer@vipp.org
  • Foster Dog Shift - VIPP houses its dogs in foster homes. Dog shifts are not required on a regular basis but foster homes may need help with dog walking, training or taking a dog to the vet. For more info: foster@vipp.org
  • No Hungry Pets Program - This program serves over 50 families a month, providing supplemental pet food for our community.  The No Hungry Pets distribution happens next to the Vashon Maury Food Bank on the first Wednesday of every month. To learn more email: Petfood@vipp.org
  • Apply to be a board member - If your interest lies more in the planning, fiduciary and sustainability of an organization, a position as an officer or board member might be right for you. To reach the board members, email: boardmember@vipp.org
  • Volunteer Coordinator - VIPP needs a volunteer coordinator for all events to work with the heads of programs and event coordinators to ensure the events are appropriately staffed and working smoothly. If interested email: Contact@vipp.org
  • VIPP Event Planning - Along with the FurBall™ Auction, VIPP holds approximately 6 or 7 events a year. If your skill is in event planning, we would like to talk to you. Please email: Contact@vipp.org
  • Other Positions Include - Social media manager, website manager, photographers, data entry. If any of these interest you, email: Contact@vipp.org

Have a skill that you’d like to share? Email VIPP and see what volunteer opportunities might be able to benefit from your talents!
