Mabel is a sweet natured, healthy dog. She loves snuggles and wouldn't hurt a fly (on purpose). She is extremely high energy and HIGHLY intelligent. Our volunteers are working with her on leash training and some commands. She is a quick study. Mabel is crate trained. She loves to swim and play in water. She is a purebred german shorthaired pointer but is not trained for hunting. She loves fetch. Mabel has an excellent guard dog instinct. She has never been aggressive but does bark at passers by. She would be the happiest with a very active family with no small children - she gets along with children but can overwhelm them.
