VIPP understands that emergency veterinary bills can hit people's finances hard. Every year, this program helps pets and their families have peace of mind knowing they can provide the care their pet needs. Please read our financial assistance program requirements HERE. Pet food distribution is the first Wednesday of every month at Vashon Food Bank. You can get on the distribution list, donate food, or ask questions by emailing petfood@vipp.org. For more info, click HERE.
ALL YEAR FREE SPAY/NEUTER
VIPP offers vouchers for free spay/neuter through NW Spay/Neuter in Tacoma. These vouchers can also be used on Vashon, with the owner paying the difference in the cost. For more information, email: voucher@vipp.org.
This VIPP program is ongoing and available to any Vashon resident. In coordination with Fair Isle Animal Clinic, you can keep your pets safe and make sure they are returned to you in a timely manner if they are ever lost. Call to schedule your free microchip now. (206) 463-3607. Remember to update your chip information whenever you move or get a new phone number too. Available throughout the year.
Along with a microchip, the best way to get your pet back super quick if they are ever lost is to have pet tags. Please keep a current phone number on your pet's collar or tags.
VIPP will post your lost or found pet on our Facebook page and on our website as a courtesy. VIPP offers have-a-heart traps to loan if you have a stray in your area or need one to catch your own escaped pet. VIPP can also assist with suggestions for finding a lost pet. Pets found during business hours can be taken to Fair Isle Animal Clinic.
